'Paranormal Activity 3' Scares Up Box Office Record

Afraid or otherwise, it appears like no quantity of fear will keep the folks from "Paranormal Activity 3." The most recent installment within the found footage horror franchise hit cinemas over the past weekend and scared up a box office record for greatest fall opening ever (September/October) having a staggering $54 million total. "Paranormal Activity 3" also guaranteed the record for the best opening for any pure horror movie, formerly held by -- you suspected it -- "Paranormal Activity 2," which first showed this past year with $40.7 million. Clearly, we'll convey more haunted "Activity" within our moviegoing futures. If you have seen "Paranormal Activity 3," the enjoyment is not over. MTV News spoken with co-company directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman to reply to seven different burning questions regarding the film. We shot the version that's within the trailer, where it is simply the women. Therefore we shot it with Dennis, Randy and Katie. The very first two occasions were good, but we felt like we're able to go one stage further. On set, we emerged using the rattling door. I was like, 'Can you are making something within the room fly from the room?'" » Schulman around the ending: "The grandmother may be the leader of the coven that's calling forth a demon. That demon is asking for a male host, a young child. Someone makes an offer using the demon in exchange for any boy somewhere along this family lineage. That has not happened yet. It takes place in 'Paranormal 2.' In 'Paranormal 2,' the grandmother is forcing the problem. Once that boy is had, she'll be there together with her coven and also the demon to be able to provide the baby."
